A Look Back at 2013

Well, 2013 flew by!
I am so grateful for the opportunities that arose this year, the people I met and worked with, and just for everything, really.
I worked on some amazing projects that were just for me this year and I truly believe it helped me figure out some things about myself. I think every artist needs to take time to themselves and create works just for them. Money isn't everything (although it sure does feel good when it's flowing!). The passion that once was there can be lost if you don't take the time to revel in the thing(s) you love most, especially in the art world. If you're swamped with work and constantly on the go, the passion that once lit up your heart and soul can begin to dim and you're just another zombie, working the day to day.
When I do styled shoots just for me or I work with another photographer on an inspirational shoot, I feel those butterflies again; the thing I love about my job.
So many things came to light this year, one of them being where it is exactly I want this road I am traveling on to lead. I have a pretty good idea of where I am headed, no matter how long the road may be.
I realized a lot about myself both artistically and otherwise this year.
I am thankful for new friends, new inspirations.
Here's to 2014!
BRING IT ON, BABY!
